Announcement from PW PNNE of an
Alternative Spring Retreat Option for 2021

All women are invited to attend the first ever virtual spring retreat by and for the members of Presbyterian Women in the Presbytery of Northern New England. Having felt the need to cancel our in-person retreat weekend for the 2nd year in a row, your coordinating team has decided to plan and execute a virtual substitute retreat to carry us over until next year when we plan to once again have an in-person retreat. Here are the details for this year:

Saturday, May 8, 2021, from 9am to 12 noon

Zoom link will be provided to all who register.

The program theme

Drinking Deeply from the Well: Sustenance for the Journey as we pause to reflect in this Pandemic Year.

The presenters at the retreat are four outstanding women pastors from PNNE. They are:

Rev. Heather Prince Doss of Eliot Presbyterian Church
Rev. Diane Hoppe Hugo of Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church
Rev. Thea Kornelius of Fairbanks Union Church and New Portland Community Church
Rev. Deborah McKinley of East Craftsbury Presbyterian Church

Presentations will be given by the pastors exploring each of three sub themes. The presentations will address various ways of spiritual response. This will be followed by a time for discussion and sharing via breakout groups. A brief worship service will conclude the retreat.

The sub themes are:

  • Times of Silence
  • Times of Turning
  • Times of Joy

Everyone will have the opportunity to participate in a breakout session of your choice.

A worship service and virtual communion will be held to conclude the day’s event.

There is no fee to register. All are welcome.
