Raising Your Voice (to Sing)

If someone sings while participating in online worship, is it heard or understood by anyone? I believe that, yes, it is heard. God hears and we hear.

I can’t tell you how many times I have heard someone say that they don’t like the sound of their own voice, but as long as our voices are raised in song, God doesn’t care at all about the quality of the sound - just the genuine quality of our spirits as we sing.

I am working on my final project for my Doctor of Ministry degree and want to hear your voices as you talk about the experience of singing.

There are two focus groups remaining - one on Zoom and one in-person, and I want (and need) to hear your voices as you reflect on whether singing makes a difference in your life and faith.

  • Sunday, September 26, at 7 PM on Zoom - Click HERE
  • Wednesday, September 29, at 6 PM in-person in the Church Fellowship Hall - for the BPC Choir

I want to hear your voices and hope you’ll share your thoughts on singing.

Grace and Peace,

John
