Guest Preacher Jennifer Chew

| Weekly Word

For Worship Services this Sunday, February 20th at 10AM, we welcome our Guest Preacher Jennifer Chew.  Jennifer has been a member of BPC for 21 years. She and her husband, Greg Zimmermann, joined when they moved to Bedford in 2001 from North Carolina. Jennifer and her family live in the Reverend John Houston home - which was built in 1749 for the first pastor of our congregation.

Jennifer grew up in Birmingham, Alabama, and attended school in New York. She has lived and worked in London, Paris, Mexico City, Brussels, Ireland, and Puerto Rico. She is currently a Managing Partner for Tata Consultancy Services, where she leads Strategy and Business Planning for their consulting practice globally.

Jennifer has been a lifelong Presbyterian/Methodist. Her parents met when the two families were starting Southminster Presbyterian Church in Vestavia Hills, AL. She spent most of her childhood attending Vestavia Methodist and then exploring various churches wherever she was traveling.  Her "church away from church" remains Broadway Presbyterian where she served in the soup kitchen weekly while a student at Columbia University.

One of her earliest childhood memories is singing Jesus Loves Me, This I Know and Jesus Loves the Little Children. She continues to love to sing today and joins the choir as often as she can.

With Grace and Peace...
