Mission to Maine 2021
Last year, a small team went to Maine, following strict pandemic protocols to continue our support for the housing ministry of our long term partner, Mission At The Eastward (MATE).
This year, we are making plans to go again, anticipating the way will be clear and safe.
Home repairs for people in need. Painting, roof repair, porches, steps, ramps and simple interior and exterior. Community engagement and support.
August 1st through 6th
Members, family, friends of BPC - ages 18 and over
Central Maine, in and around Farmington
If interested, or for more information - email firstname.lastname@example.org or reach out to anyone on the coordinating team – Larry Cowen, George Reese, Matt Bader, Beth Evarts, Mark Myers
The pandemic has greatly increased the need for help, but also has greatly reduced the volunteers required to meet the need. BPC’s commitment to MATE has been foundational for our mission outreach for many years. They need our support now more than ever.
The cost of the trip is $350 for the week. The cost covers food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks), lodging and travel to and from the worksites. Sponsorships and payment plans are available. Because our meetings, trips and financial assistance are supported by mission trip funds, we ask all participants to assist with fund raising efforts, such as a bake sale, concert, and/or carwashes. It is our sincere hope that no one misses this opportunity to serve. For those in need of financial assistance, you'll be able to request assistance on the application form.
