Sunday, November 5 from 5:00–7:00 PM
We hope you can join the BPC Youth Group on Sunday, November 5, from 5 to 7 pm with guests from Rise Against Hunger to help package 10,000 nutritionally balanced meals for at-risk communities worldwide.
Our role in hosting this event at BPC is to weigh, sort, distribute and then package individual meals that are accomplished in an assembly-line fashion. Each meal is labeled and then boxed up for shipping to Rise Against Hunger, which will work with at-risk communities worldwide to provide meals when needed. Meals are delivered locally and include preparation and safety information for cooking and serving.
While we all work to sort, weigh and package each meal, Rise Against Hunger representatives will be on hand to educate and inform us about the organization, and talk to us about how our support will help support those facing food insecurity globally. The more helping hands we have the more meals we will be able to pack!
Rise Against Hunger is an organization that provides meals sustainably sourced from communities around the world. The entire supply-chain to delivery process plays a role in supporting at-risk communities.
