Support our Partners in Mission to Combat Homelessness and Food Insecurity

Apr 15, 2026 | Serve

BPC’s Mission Committee is committed to working with partner organizations on housing and homelessness issues in our community and beyond. The needs are many. In addition to our volunteer recovery teams to Mission at the Eastward (July) and Puerto Rico (January, 2026), we are actively connecting with local organizations to work on common goals.

BPC currently houses and supports the Bedford Food Pantry. BPC members volunteer and donate to this essential community service. Call Kat for more information about volunteering at the Bedford Food Pantry at 603-867-2445. Thank you!

In addition, BPC supports Families in Transition in Manchester. FIT needs our help in 3 ways:

  • Serve dinner to FIT shelter participants who are homeless and vulnerable. BPC volunteers monthly, on the third Saturday and the fifth Saturday. Volunteer to participate HERE. Serving dinner at Families in Transition is easy and makes a huge impact. We need 3-4 volunteers for each date.
  • Donate to FIT’s Outfitters Thrift Store at 394 Second St in Manchester. Your clothing, dishes, household items, toys, books, and more help support programs and services for families and individuals experiencing homelessness. Information is at https://www.fitnh.org/outfitters/ (also easy).
  • Donate everyday essentials to the FIT food pantry at 176 Lake Avenue, Monday-Friday, 9-3. For ideas on what is needed: https://www.fitnh.org/high-needs/. For questions or information, contact Mission Elder Sharon Cowen at cowenfamily@comcast.net.
